I know paypal is safer but do i NEED it. Some sellers say Paypal is required and others say preferred. My question is: Can i use my credit card even though it says paypal preffered?

You can pay someone with your credit card through paypal. It protects your information by keeping it from your seller and also offers more protection if the seller doesn't come through with your purchase.

depending on the seller, you can use credit card, money order, cash, anything. on the bottom of the item page that you are interested in bidding on, scroll to the bottom. there is a section that will tell you what kind of pyment the seller accepts.

No you don't NEED pay pal it just helps aLot, it makes it faster, it makes it more secure, and some auctineers only take paypal.

you can use other payment method in place of paypal. but i would advice paypal. they care more about the buyer than the seller it seems. they would giveyou your money back if you bought something an said you want a return.

You don't have to have PayPal, unless you buy from someone who will only accept PayPal. If they accept a major credit card, you can always use that. The big thing with PayPal is, you have them behind you if anything goes wrong. And eventually, if you buy from eBay, something will go wrong. That's Murphy's law.

it all depends on the seller sometimes they have the payment method as paypal prefered but after contacting them most will accept a postal money order but ask them first befor you make a purchase.

PayPal is great and it just take a few minutes to create a free account tere and then you can choose pay by credit card or choose withdraw from your banking account.
