Default I was ripped off by a freelance designer and his programmer buddy for $750. I want my money back!!?

I hired a designer and his friend to design my website, I paid $750 up front, and it?s been 6-9 months. I?ve seen nothing, I paid through 2checkout.com. I asked for a refund but the freelancer didn?t comply and nothing was done. I want my money back, and I want to bash their reputation. How can I do that the best possible way? Their info in below is you feel like voicing your opinion

The only recourse you have is to seek legal action in small claims court.

First of all, if you say you want to bash their reputation, people won't listen to you.

Can you file a police report? I say, continue pestering the people you paid through, and don't give up. Read their terms and conditions, you may have a legal case here and have to take this to court. Try contacting the Consumer Affairs in your state. They assist people with things like this by letting you know where to go for help. Good luck, but refrain from the hostile language if you want to accomplish your goal. Be careful what you say, they could sue you for slander.

First, file a claim in the "small business claims court".

Then file a claim with the Better Business Bureau"

Wait before you get too excited with small claims court I worked at a credit card company for years and banks work very similar if you did this online somewhere is a trail, meaning if you paid with a credit card (would be the best) or a check through the bank. Contact your bank tell them you have tried to contact the freelance designer and they wont comply with your request. The bank will put in a dispute and freelance has so long to reply. Now with credit cards if they don't reply within a certain period of time wich is most of the time, you automatically win your case and get the money back. Try that first. Don't give up and do voice your oppinion smart people research those kind of companies before they try it and if you dont voice your oppinion/ exdperiance this will happen to someone else. Don't bash just say what happened. Oh and if you call you can record the call it's not illegal most companies will even say on the automated system this call my be recorded which gives you the right to recored. Check out the things people have to say about PayPal and NO they are not a credit card (there not recognized as a financial institution like credit card companies).
